Half Day Lake Nokomis Exploratory Guided Fishing Trip (May 27th to June 13th)

After years of declining trips on Lake Nokomis due to the abundance of gigantic smallmouth bass located just minutes away from Lake Nokomis I have decided to offer a half day trip to share what I know about the lake I spent my childhood and most of my adult life fishing every summer.  I understand the desire for people who have cabins on the lake to want to catch fish without having to pull the boat in and out of another body of water.  Last year I tried a few trips on Lake Nokomis and I was happy enough with the results to offer trips this summer. I am calling these trips exploratory trips as these trips are designed to share what techniques and locations I have fished on Lake Nokomis with the hopes of my customers being able to fish these locations more as the summer goes on.  My preference is to fish topwater for Bass, Northern, Muskie (or maybe just under the surface)for exciting action. The quality and quantity of bass and northern has definitely gone down over the years but pending water temperatures, weed growth, and water levels I feel confident my customers will find fish on your next adventure from your cabin after spending a half day with me.

2024 Trips Lake Nokomis Half Day Trip Ideas

(All Trips will be customized to meet your needs)

Exploratory Muskie:

4 hours of sharing my best locations for hooking into a decent Lake Nokomis Muskie.  Patterning this fish takes years but I am more than happy to show you the locations I have found them in the past in hopes you will be able to put in the time throughout the summer to find them.

Exploratory Topwater Bass and Northern:

4 hours of sharing my top locations for topwater bass and northern action.  The locations vary from early summer to late summer with the weeds and water temperature change but I will share with you the many locations where you can find exciting topwater action throughout the summer.

Other Ideas:

Panfish

I am getting better each day I spend out there but not something I do enough of to not call it an exploratory trip.  Last year we found a few nice spots to keep the kids entertained for a few hours and I am happy to share what I know.

Bullheads

I am pretty good at putting a worm on the bottom and catching these guys! :)

Walleye

There are still a good amount of Walleye in Lake Nokomis.  I have caught them at dusk casting lures for bass and northern but have never really targeted them except for under the ice.  I am game for exploring the areas I know that hold Walleye but as far as walleye gear and techniques go I would be relying on your expertise more so than mine.
